The Laramie Project

This play is about the horrific murder of Matthew Shepherd in Laramie, Wyoming in 1998. Matthew was beaten and tied to a fence for being gay, and the play explores the events of that night, what people in the town had to say about it, and the trial of the two boys who were responsible.
As the assistant lighting designer for this show, I created the paperwork, assisted with focus, and created a cabling plot. This show was in a traverse stage, so during tech, I was often checking the opposite side for the LD to make sure everything was properly lit. The show also had over 200 light units in a black box, so the cable plot was crucial.
