The Tempest

Role

Assistant Lighting Designer

Date

2016

Location

Brevard College

The Tempest was the last play that William Shakespeare wrote. It follows the story of several people who are washed up on a magical island, dealing with the betrayed Prospero, who caused the ship to wash up.
As the Assistant Lighting Designer, I created the paperwork, assisted with focus, and filled in when needed, as the LD was pregnant at the time.
The performance was in a reverse round, with the audience on a turntable. Because of this, the lighting needed to have full coverage in each of the four viewpoints, and four different magic sheets needed to be created.
